Regal plantations are located in the picturesque foothills of Anamalai. Nestling close to the Indira Gandhi Nature Reserve, also known as Top-Slip, the plantations are set in pristine surroundings! The plantation's location ensures that it receives the rains of the north-east and south-west monsoons, which coincide with the harvesting seasons.
Cocoa is intercropped with coconut, nutmeg, pepper and banana, creating a mix of interdependent fauna - the cornerstone of permaculture - which adds to the nuances of flavour in our cocoa beans. The plantation is pesticide-free and managed according to the principles of aquaculture and permaculture, ensuring that the trees receive the best possible nutrition to produce great-tasting cocoa! Each year, Soklet selects the best trees for their breeding programme to meet the increase in acreage and demand for their cocoa beans.
They produce Single Origin chocolate, which means that the cocoa comes directly from their own plantations. This enables them to control the chocolate-making process, from selecting the cocoa trees to tempering the chocolate bar. Soklet is committed to showcasing the unique potential of Indian chocolate and seeks to bring out the true flavour of India's terroir. They are also very proud of the fact that they produce their own cocoa and then create a chocolate full of unique flavours.
